Climbing Roses

So I realize that I don't post frequently enough, but I was struck that my last post was about another rose styled quilt. This quilt was brought to me by a customer who had used her brother-in-law's shirts to make a Lover's Knot quilt for her sister. Stitching on that fabric was dreamy!

My customer chose a white thread for the overall quilting, but since the border was getting blocked out separately, we went with a matching blue in it.

I love that she added this little flange to the edge. It gives some dimension and also gives a place to tuck in the beginning and ending of the rows.

Being able to add "thorns" to the roses gives a place to turn around.

Here's the full quilt. Keep climbing!
